English Tea Party Wedding Cakes

Since my recent tea-cup discovery, I found these gorgeous wedding cupcakes to compliment the Mad Hatters Tea Party wedding theme. The designer is the very talented Makiko Searle from Maki’s Cakes.

I have found out that you can order the beautiful laser cut cases shown in the thumbnails below and have a go at making your own if you dare. The cake baking and icing will certainly be achievable though I am not convinced about attempting the beautiful sugared flowers and marzipan details! I would leave that to the experts and order some in or decorate with alternative toppers. These wrappers  have only been recently introduced in the UK. They are available from a few stores but I advise shopping around as they can vary in price and are currently quite expensive. Try ebay or even importing them yourself.
